Arizona RE/MAX Realtor Resume

As promised, here is my Arizona RE/MAX Realtor resume. I know it seems kind of strange to be looking at a resume, but I really am applying for a job. I take my job as a Realtor very seriously and hopefully presenting you with my formal Arizona RE/MAX Realtor resume is a step in the right direction of showing you how serious I am.

OBJECTIVE

I am looking to use my experience buying and selling real estate to help the following people:
  • Homeowner's looking to sell their Arizona home.
  • Anyone looking to purchase a home whether as a primary residence or investment.
  • Individuals or families looking to rent a home.
  • Investors looking to purchase income properties, land, or fix and flips.
  • First time home buyers.
  • If you don't feel you fit into one of these categories, call me and I'll see if I can help you out.

WORK EXPERIENCE

RE/MAX Renaissance Realty
Started June 25, 2007 and still work there.
Once I decided I was ready to move on from Coldwell Banker I interviewed a lot of different real estate companies. I decided to come on board with RE/MAX Renaissance Realty mainly because of the people. Eddy Paris recruited me and everything about the people and the office just seemed like a good fit.

Instead of everyone looking out for themselves. This office really works as a team. Michelle Sanders (my partner) is a fantastic Realtor, but an even more fantastic person.

Even though the real estate market is slower than it has ever been since I originally became licensed, 2008 is shaping up to be my busiest year.

Coldwell Banker
Started November 2004 and left in June of 2007.
I learned the ropes at Coldwell Banker. It was painful. Not because of anything Coldwell Banker did or didn't do, but because starting out in the world of real estate is tough to do. Most Realtors don't make it through their second year. I am proud of the fact that I have been successful as an Arizona Realtor.

While working there, Jill Gerber and her 25+ years of experience took me under her wing and we worked together quite a bit of my time with Coldwell. Jill and I did a lot of relocation work.

I became a Realtor just before the market exploded. Talk about terrible timing. You would think it would have been a good time to be a Realtor. I know it was for some, but I was new and had no idea what I was doing. I wasn't able to take advantage of the hot market.

Skecher's Shoes
Started February 2001 and left in November of 2004.
Skecher's for the most part was a great experience. I was the manager of the store at Arizona Mills mall. I learned a lot about running a business there. I also learned a lot about customer service. I had worked in retail sales ever since high school, but never in a management capacity.

My biggest success while working at Skecher's may not seem like a success to some people. I was able to find a group of hard working, like minded, great people to work with me. Even though this was retail sales in a mall, I had a core crew that worked with me for over a year and a half. I think it is a testament to my ability to spot good character people, but also shows that I was fair, motivating, and people enjoyed working with me.

After all these years, many of us still meet up for dinner a couple times a year to catch up.

At Skecher's I had to learn to make people accountable, be flexible but not a push over with employees, deal fairly with customers but not allow people to take advantage, and be extremely organized.

Other Jobs
Before working at Skecher's I had a job at Lenscrafters as an eyeglass salesperson.

I also worked for Easy Spirit Shoes for about 5 years, Florsheim Shoes for about a year (where I met my best friend Nicki), and I even had a short stint at Paradise Bakery right out of high school.

Yes, you have read correctly. There were a lot of shoes jobs in my early working life...

REAL ESTATE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • My first client ever when I became a Realtor was also my first repeat client.
  • I have been a part of short sales, auctioned homes, relocation clients, as well as many other real estate buying and selling situations.
  • 2008 will be my most successful year in real estate so far, even as the Arizona real estate market is the worst it has been in over a decade.

EDUCATION

  • Graduated from Glendale High School, 1993.
  • Attended two years of college at Glendale Community College.
  • Completed my real estate sales licensing education in 2004.
  • Completed the Brian Buffini real estate education program in 2008.
  • Attended numerous real estate continuing education classes and continue to do so.
